They need to advertise on twitter or they are going to keep working at a lose then lose the site because it made them no money. Allow advertising on the sidebar like they do on facebook. Just don't be as strict or unwilling to accept ads. Then they could pull in a few 100k a month and keep the site up. Thats what i would do.

The issue you mentioned about duplicates on FriendFeed is exactly what I'm not liking about the service. It may be different in other parts of the world, but at least for me, most of the stuff gets shared via Twitter, Plurk or Google Shared Items anyway, that yet another shared item on FriendFeed is just needless and unncessary.

I would like to think that my personal brand is a promise to everyone i meet. I have found that blogging is a great way to figure out and expand upon your brand. There is so much content out there, so depending on what you like you can comment on certain things with the same consistent stand or writing style. Not only will you figure out what your brand is, but you will also establish one online with everyone that reads your posts of comments. At www.Brand-Yourself.com we aim to establish a student’s personal brand early so they can get the job of their dreams and love what they do, so both the organizational brand and their personal brand coincide. Every company should have a process for ideation, you cant force someone to be entrepreneurial. For more actionable tips to strengthen your personal brand on the web please go to our blog at http://blog.brand-yourself.com.

To be honest, this is a problem for FriendFeed to deal with. Users have the right to use the services however they want. People's use of a tool can be influenced by what other tools do with the information, but if a user is going to stop sharing because it has been shared "enough" on FriendFeed, then I have a problem with it. FriendFeed should be aggregating the shares from each service, like all reader shares together and all stumbles together. FriendFeed has caused the problem, not the user. The user can choose not to share certain services as well if they feel it does not add value.

I have to agree with Felix as well. There're a lot of people saying they won't use Chrome, but it IS in beta which isn't MEANT to be "ready". I've downloaded it, found that there's stuff I still need from Firefox that I can't live without yet, but that doesn't mean I've uninstalled Chrome or announced "I'll never use it!". I'll just check by in a couple of months or when someone blogs about it!
